Deploy ON vs Render

Render is the closest product: Git, always-on web services, and managed Postgres. You buy instance sizes. Deploy ON sells a shared monthly quota.

Price for the same app

Shop API. A small always-on Node.js API plus PostgreSQL. One custom domain, HTTPS, about 512 MB of RAM for the app, a small Postgres instance, and low traffic. Not a serverless frontend-only site.

Deploy ON

50 ₾ / month

~$18.5

Application plan. Managed Postgres is a separate package — we do not pretend it is free inside the 50 ₾.

Render

$13–26 / month

$13–26

$7 web + $6 for 256 MB Postgres is the floor. A 1 GB Postgres is $19, which makes $26 before bandwidth.

An always-on Starter web service is $7 (512 MB). The cheapest paid Postgres is $6 (256 MB, 1 GB disk). That is $13. If the database needs about 1 GB of RAM, Render’s list price is $19 for that instance, so $26. A Pro workspace is $25 extra if you need those team features — we do not add it to the $13–26 range.

List prices as of October 2026. Deploy ON in ₾; others in USD. FX used only as a hint: 1 USD ≈ 2.7 GEL. Sources: Render pricing, Deploy ON plans.

Side by side

Topic Deploy ON Render
Billing One GEL package. CPU, RAM, and disk are a team quota. Instance prices for each web service and each database. Workspace plans on top if you need them.
Runtime Long-running containers on Kubernetes. Always-on web services, private services, and workers. Free web services spin down.
Databases Managed Postgres, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB as a separate package. Managed Postgres and Key Value. Free Postgres expires after 30 days.
Build Railpack / Nixpacks / Dockerfile. Native build pipelines and Docker. Broader language catalog.
Domains Platform host, custom domains, hosted DNS. Custom domains. Extra domains can be billed on newer workspace plans.
Regions Georgia. Several regions. Better global latency out of the box.
Compliance ISO 27001 and ISO 27017 via Proservice. SOC 2 / ISO reports on Render Pro workspace. Not on Hobby.
Support / billing Proservice WHMCS, phone and email in Georgia. Render dashboard billing in USD.

Pick Render when

  • You want a well-known US/EU region and a large instance catalog.
  • You are happy paying per service and per database.
  • You need Render-specific extras (private services, more instance sizes) more than a GEL invoice.

Pick Deploy ON when

  • You want one monthly number in ₾ instead of a stack of instance SKUs.
  • The team and the data should stay with a Georgian operator.
  • You already have a Proservice billing account.

What we are not claiming

Render is a real product with more regions, a larger ecosystem, and (in several cases) a lower sticker at the smallest size. Deploy ON wins when you want a GEL quota, a Georgian operator, ISO 27001 / 27017 via Proservice, and a process that stays up next to a database. It does not win at global edge, preview URLs, or a public template marketplace.
